Bryan Finley was promoted to Athletic Director in December 2016. He came to The King’s College in 2012 as Head Women’s Soccer Coach and Assistant Athletic Director. He started the women’s soccer program and helped lead the team to the HVIAC Conference Finals in both 2013 and 2014. The team had an overall record of 24-15-1 in his three years at the helm and were awarded the NSCAA Sportsmanship Award in those three years. As Assistant Athletic Director his primary role was the recruiting of prospective student-athletes for all of the college’s sports teams. Additionally, he is the advisor to the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
Prior to arriving at The King’s College, Coach Finley was the Associate Head Coach of Women’s Soccer at D1 St. Peter’s University. He was also the Assistant Coach of Women’s Soccer at D3 New Jersey City University. During his time at NJCU, the team had its best years in the history of the program including rankings of #24 and #33 in the nation, three trips to the ECAC post season playoffs and two NSCAA Team GPA Awards. The team was 41-24-1 during his time there.
At the high school level Coach Finley coached track and field at the Oak Knoll School in Summit, NJ from 2009-2015 and guided the team to its first ever conference, state sectional and state group championships. While with the U.S. PARMA Soccer Club from 2006-2015 he coached numerous state and tournament championship teams. Currently, he coaches U14 and U16 girls at the Players Development Academy in NJ, and he also works with the women’s professional soccer team, Sky Blue FC.
Coach Finley resides in Monmouth County, NJ where he helps out at Logo Knits, his family’s screen printing and embroidery business. He has also worked at Price Waterhouse Coopers and Prudential. When he is not on a soccer field, court or track, he enjoys reading, boating and fishing.
